Access Control · Utah and Southern Idaho

An access control system that replaces the key ring.

Decide who gets in, which doors they can use and when. AccessGuard Solutions installs and maintains door access systems for businesses and property managers across northern Utah and southern Idaho.

What an access control system does

An access control system replaces physical keys with credentials like key fobs, cards or a phone. Each person gets their own, so when someone leaves or loses a fob, you turn off that one credential instead of rekeying a door.

You can also see who came through which door and when. With a cloud based system, you can make those changes from your phone or computer without being at the building.

How it works

Step 1

We walk your building

We look at your doors, door hardware and existing wiring, and talk through who needs access and when.

Step 2

You get a clear plan

You'll know which doors we'd cover, what it takes and what it costs, with nothing you don't need.

Step 3

We install and test it

We run the wiring, mount the hardware, connect your doors and test everything.

Step 4

We show you how to run it

We set up your users, walk you through managing them and stay available for support.

What we can set up

Key fobs and prox cards

Simple, familiar credentials that are easy to hand out and easy to turn off.

Mobile credentials

Let people open doors with their phones, on their own or alongside fobs and cards.

Schedules and door groups

Set who can use each door and when, by person or group.

Multi-site access

Manage more than one building from one place.

Door hardware

We connect the hardware that actually locks and releases the door, including maglocks where they fit.

Existing system takeovers

We diagnose, repair and upgrade access systems we didn't install.

What affects the cost

Every building is different, so we quote after we've seen yours. These are the things that move the number most.

Number of doors

This is the biggest factor, because each controlled door needs its own hardware and wiring.

Door type and hardware

Glass storefronts, metal frames and older doors can each need something different.

Wiring distance

Long runs, finished ceilings and concrete walls take more labor.

What you can reuse

Existing wiring and hardware can sometimes stay, which can lower the cost.

Common questions

What is an access control system?

It's a system that controls who can open which doors and when, using credentials like fobs, cards or a phone instead of physical keys.

Can employees use their phones to open doors?

Yes. Mobile credentials are an option, and you can use them alongside fobs or cards.

What happens when someone loses a fob?

You turn off that fob and issue a new one. There's no need to rekey the door.

Can I start with one door?

Yes. You can start with a main entrance and add doors later.

Can you work on a system someone else installed?

Yes. We regularly diagnose, repair and upgrade systems we didn't originally install.

Do you install burglar or fire alarms?

No. We focus on door access, cameras and low voltage cabling. If you need alarm work, we're happy to point you to someone who does it.
